The Adult Sunday School
group is currently involved
in an in-depth study and
discussion of the Gospel of
Mark. This study started in
the Spring of 2011 and has
continued through the
Summer. It is expected to
continue through October,
when a new topic will be
chosen.
The sessions consist of
reading each successive
section of Mark's Gospel and
examining the commentaries
relating to the passage with
the help of several
knowledgeable Biblical
implementers. There is free
and open discussion among
the group, so that
everyone's questions and
comments are explored and
answered. The intent is to
bring out a fuller
understanding about Mark's
good news about Jesus --
both to the early church he
was writing to and to the
extended followers of the
church today in the 21st
century.
All are welcome to join in
on any Sunday. It is not
necessary to have been
coming to the previous
sessions. We have tried to
structure the studies so
that there is something new
to be learned each week.
